Blend well until almost smooth.
Transfer to bowl.
Season dip with salt and pepper, to taste.
(Can be made 1 day ahead. cover; chill. Bring to room temperature before serving.) Place bowl with dip on platter.
Serve with breadsticks and vegetables.
