A very easy pie to prepare from New York’s McCarthy’s Restaurant and Bon Appétit. I have not made this yet myself, but looked to good to pass up.

Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  • Step 2

    Whisk eggs, both sugars, and vanilla in large bowl until well blended.

  • Step 3

    Add flour and salt; whisk to blend.

  • Step 4

    Whisk in butter In three additions.

  • Step 5

    Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

  • Step 6

    Transfer filling to pie crust.

  • Step 7

    Bake pie until filling is puffed and golden brown, about 50 minutes.

  • Step 8

    Cool on rack 20 minutes.

  • Step 9

    Cut into wedges.

  • Step 10

    Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream.
